Objectives

To support and strengthen the independence of the judiciary and the legal profession in the Arab regions.
To make national legislations consistent with international instruments.
To reinforce ordinary judiciary in accordance with standards for fair and impartial trials as stipulated in international instruments.
To implant and disseminate values and principles of human rights.
To strengthen principles of international criminal justice and legitimacy.
To advance the level of legal education in the Arab regions.

The Arab Center for the Independence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession is a regional legal institution founded in 1997. It holds advisory status of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. It works to provide legal support and legal consultations. It aims to enhance the values of the independence of the judiciary and the legal profession and develop legislation related to justice affairs in Arab countries. It works in accordance with the terms of reference Legal represented by the international legitimacy of human rights, international humanitarian law and customs in accordance with international law. Registered under No. 66 in the register of law firms at the Egyptian Bar Association.
